The wave lasts for 10 seconds and is actually 4 separate waves which run next to each other. This is important because each wave deals Damage. Somewhere near the front of the wave is the point from which the AoE Damage is calculated. The Damage is 125 Crush and 20 Hack with AoE Range: 12. Damage Caps for this initial Damage:
Maximum Damage dealt VS Units: 1000.
Maximum Damage dealt VS Buildings: 4000.
Maximum Damage dealt VS Allied Units: 600.
Maximum Damage dealt VS Villagers: 600.
Maximum Damage dealt VS Allied Villagers: 300.
Units and Buildings also take persistent damage for as long as they remain inside the flooded area. That Damage is 1.5 Hack and 2.0 Crush per second with AoE Range: 6, which has a Damage Bonus of: -75% Damage VS Heroes & Villagers and +200% Damage VS Myth Units. This damage has no cap, and the dragged along Humans keep taking this persistent damage for the full duration.

Ao Kuang, Dragon Lord of the Eastern Sea was once notorious for his temper, and the Fengshen Yanyi tells stories of the disasters he caused to inspire fear in his subjects. If he was slighted by any of the villages and cities within reach of the coast, or if they refused to submit to his rule, he would not hesitate to send a great flood to wipe them off the face of the earth. The fear he inspired was so great that no one ever complained to Huangdi about his actions, lest the great dragon take vengeance.

It was only after the death of his son Ao Bixi and his own defeat at the hands of Nezha that Ao Kuang adopted a more aloof lifestyle, even though he won against Nezha in the end by forcing the god to sacrifice himself for his family. He now uses his powers more judiciously, lest another being of such power take him by surprise.
